Summary of Position
The Recon and Reporting Representative reports directly to the Director Recon, Reporting and Control.
The Recon and Reporting Representative is expected to:
Apply premium payments to policy holder accounts.
Apply loan payments to Policy Holder accounts where applicable.
Validate and process internal money movements as required
Liase with external banks to research and resolve various discrepancies related to premium and loan payments.
Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and resolve issues related to daily & monthly reconciliation reporting.
Gather, analyze and provide data to respond to requests from various internal Boston Mutual departments.
Prepare reports monthly, quarterly or annually as requested.
Prepare month end account reconciliations for assigned accounts
Develop understanding of Boston Mutual’s various insurance offerings to ensure accurate processing.
Facilitate daily written and verbal communication between internal departments to ensure timely resolution of inquiries.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations, reconciliation and reporting processes.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Must comply with privacy guidelines; will protect the privacy of customer information.
Performs other duties and/or projects as needed or required
Qualifications & Knowledge Requirements
Education: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of equivalent business experience required.
Knowledge Requirements:
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize a high volume of multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to context, substance and detail while meeting goals and strict deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build and extend relationships.
Shows initiative with a “can do attitude” and the ability to implement changes that will improve workflow.
Strong computer skills using MS Office.
Insurance knowledge is a plus.
Certifications/Licensures : FLMI and ACS designations preferred.

Hybrid Work Model
At our Canton location, employees will be on site Monday - Thursday starting 5/1/23. At our Omaha location, employees will be on site 2 days per week.
