Robert Half PC Technician in Canton, Massachusetts

The short-term contract / temporary PC Technician will work in the Canton, Massachusetts, area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Support functionality testing and end users
Interface with ticket submitters regularly and effectively
Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date
Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix
Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards
Own and execute technology implementation projects
Diagnose, restore, rebuild, and refurbish computer hardware, such as PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and additional IT equipment
Install printers, and troubleshoot and repair issues
Disassemble, pack, move and set up/install on site
Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases
Image and set up new computers
Communicate with suitable vendors to coordinate needed repairs
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities Requirements - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred skills include an understanding of networking such as switching and routing
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
1 - 3 years of experience supporting hardware and software for PC and Mac, and knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets
Comprehensive knowledge of PC skills
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
