Summary of Position

The Instructional Designer reports to the Director of Training & Quality. The instructional designer role is focused on creating robust, engaging and effective learning experiences by designing educational materials, courses, and training programs enterprise wide . This role involves collaboration with subject matter experts, utilizing instructional design principles, and leveraging various technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development : Design, develop and implement educational curriculum for various formats (instructor-led training ,e-learning, blended learning)

  • Needs Analysis: Conduct needs assessments and analyze learner needs to determine appropriate instructional strategies and content development.

  • Content Creation : Create instructional materials including lesson plans, course outlines, storyboards multimedia elements, assessments, and supporting documents.

  • Technology Integrations: Utilize authoring tools and learning management systems and authoring tools to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.

  • Evaluation and Improvement: Assess the effectiveness of instructional materials and programs through data analysis; implement improvements based on evaluation results.

  • Collaboration : Work with subject matter experts, trainers , and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience : 5+ years in instructional design

Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development and educational technology. Experience in life insurance preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of instructional design models and principles (e.g. ADDIE, SAM)

  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate)

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Technical Skills: Basic HTML/CSS knowledge multimedia editing skills, and proficiency with various graphic design software
