Philips Strategy Leader, North American Region in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Strategy Leader, North American Region Strategy in collaboration with the Head of Marketing and the North American Leadership Team, drives the creation of the North America Region strategy by leveraging industry insights, customer interactions, business development relationships, and inputs from the business strategies. They will leverage their subject matter expertise in the areas of Healthcare/MedTech industry trends and understanding of the entire ecosystem of players and flow of money to drive superior customer value by developing and executing the go-to-market strategy to reach prioritized customer segments and ensure profitability and growth for the North America organizations. Your role:

  • As an expert in the MedTech industry, provides market, customer and competitor insights and trends based on multiple personas, and usage and attitude insights regularly to NA Region and the Businesses (i.e. how do they change according to changing/evolving ecosystem) to help inform the creation of the NA (North America) Region strategy.

  • Reviews NA Region priorities, Business Unit strategy and industry trends to establish a comprehensive strategic plan and go to market approach based on local requirements.

  • Reviews and recommends improvements to existing strategies for better overall NA Region strategic alignment with industry trends.

  • Identifies gaps to the strategy and proposes corrective actions.

  • Develops strategy presentations for executive leadership

  • Develops businesses cases based in business intelligence and analytics.

  • Develops responses for changing market situation and competitor moves

  • Responsible for the overall roll up of the NA Region SPOR(Strategic Plan of Record) and yearly AOP (Annual Operating Plan) prioritization to drive the SP ambitions for execution.

  • Directs the activities related to the creation and maintenance of the NA Region Strategy, and other strategic programs related to the SPOR, including creating the program approach, collaborating across function and business stakeholders on templates, timelines and deliverables.

  • Identifies risks and interdependencies amongst stakeholder deliverables, monitors the program deliverables, assess risks to the program and defines mitigation approaches to ensure the program delivers its intended business impact.

  • Ensures close collaboration with critical stakeholders such as the NALT, RBLs, BE, PMO, Finance, IT and HR.

  • Provides feedback to businesses on their strategic plans and how they are consistent and support, or inconsistent and do not support the overall strategy of NA Region within the long-term SPOR period.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelors in business, science or engineering required, Masters desirable

  • 15+ years in Experience in healthcare or medtech products, services, software or solutions, consulting experience desirable.

Your skills include…

  • Expert business acumen, in-depth knowledge of B/M/F and competitors, market trends and ability to translate this into business strategy with proven experience of strategy leading to business value/impact/execution.

  • PgMP or PMP desired; equivalent program management experience required.

  • Experience as an integrator in a highly dynamic market and /or matrix organization

  • Experience with leading a cooperative effort of cross functional team

  • Experience to work in a business with complex market/channel structures

  • Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business.

  • Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for major functional areas

  • Requires in depth knowledge of industry, business strategies, and the company’s goals

  • Complete knowledge and understanding of the strategy process
