The Opportunity

This position serves as the Lead Solutions Architect for contracts at Abt focused on Medicaid and CHIP managed care programs. In this role, you will serve as a member of delivery leadership teams, engage in client management activities, design and deploy solutions architectures, and lead project tasks with a focus on data and technology.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of delivery leadership teams with a focus on Medicaid and CHIP managed care programs.

  • Engage in client management activities, leading client meetings and targeted discussions with client policy and technology teams and translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • Develop technology solutions based on client needs. Lead the design and development of overarching solutions architectures focused on intelligent automation tooling, business intelligence, engaging with other CMS contractors as necessary.

  • Lead reporting activities specific to Medicaid and CHIP managed care program operations.

  • With special attention to quality and timeliness, automate and routinize reporting activities, including both manual and automated processes

  • Support the development of strategic plans and frameworks like data use strategies.

  • Manage a team of technology and analytics professionals in support of project delivery.

  • Support business development activities by leveraging your delivery knowledge and experience.

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 12 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + 10 years of relevant experience, or PhD + 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience working in or closely with CMS’s Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services. Additional experience with state Medicaid agencies and programs strongly programs preferred.

  • Proven experience in client management activities with a track record of delighting customers, including leading meetings and understanding client needs in support of strategic planning and project delivery.

  • Proven data and technology expertise, particularly with understanding CMS’s Medicaid and CHIP programs, systems, and data. Experience working with data related to Medicaid program monitoring and oversight preferred.

  • Proven experience in solutions architecture design and deployment, as well as automation, AI, and tool development. Experience with low code-no code solutions and platforms like Salesforce and ServiceNow is a plus.

  • Proven experience with the development of strategic plans like data use strategies.

  • Exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in understanding healthcare data and policy.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage program and client knowledge in support of business development activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate cross-domain capabilities in technical assistance, program operations, digital and data solutions, and equity into holistic solutions for pressing challenges and high priorities within healthcare programs.

  • Demonstrated experience uncovering and resolving issues associated with meeting client needs.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and growing teams, including mentoring and developing project staff.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $120,000 - $180,000, and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
