  • 3+ years of progressive administrative experience in an office setting.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro

  • Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Canvas, social media platforms (LinkedIn, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram).

  • Proficiency with meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams).

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and use initiative/judgment and tact/discretion.

  • Possess great interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students of all levels and with people from various backgrounds.

  • Flexibility and the ability to multi-task in a complex environment with shifting and competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience in prioritizing tasks as needs change and seeing tasks to completion in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and meticulous editing skills.

  • The ideal candidate works well independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Coordinate directly with colleagues to write, edit, and update website content regularly and ensure that the editorial voice and style are in alignment with GSD guidelines and best practices (search engine optimization, page scrolls, accessibility, etc.).

  • In conjunction with student liaisons, coordinate, write, and edit a weekly digital newsletter.

  • Edit event videos to share with GSD community.

  • Collaborate closely with CS staff from start to finish, to conceptualize, write, design, and deliver print and digital materials for key events, employer recruitment, and for our student community.

  • Support the production of visual materials and presentations; assist in finding new and creative ways of reaching our target audiences (as appropriate).

  • Support event programming, including career development workshops, alumni speaker series, and employer recruiting events virtually utilizing Zoom

  • Provide backup support managing jobs and employer contacts in the GSD recruiting database

  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

Reporting to the Director of Career Services and under the direction of the Career Services Coordinator, this position serves as a source of information to GSD community members while performing a wide range of administrative responsibilities, communications/marketing, and clerical support activities for Career Services.
