responsibilities:

The Program & Portfolio Management Office (P&PM) at the company is responsible for management of the development portfolio from lead nomination to licensure. The company is seeking a motivated and energetic Sr Manager, Portfolio Analytics and Governance to enable continued execution and improvement of governance processes across the development portfolio. The successful candidate will work in close coordination with the Program Management Leadership team, Clinical Development Operations (CDO), Finance, R&D Strategy and Key Functional Heads across the organization. This role presents an exciting opportunity to further establish and improve a new function at the company that will continue to scale and drive value as the portfolio expands. Additional focus will be on partnering with PA&G to refine fit for purpose program/portfolio reporting, and implement new resource management processes across the portfolio.

  • Responsible for supporting governance strategy & operations for one or more of our therapeutic areas

  • Oversight of Therapeutic Area Review Committee (TARC) and proactively managing and providing line of sight into key upcoming discussions, as well as oversight of monthly development program updates to executive committee

  • Lead portfolio & governance management including key stakeholder engagement (i.e. Therapeutic Area Development Heads, Program Leads, Program Managers), meeting strategy, process improvement and change management activities

  • Building relationships and collaborating with Program Management and PA&G, program leaders and functional leaders across the organization to define and implement enhancements to governance and proactively identify and escalate risks, gaps and challenges

  • Working with Portfolio Analytics, Program Management and key finance stakeholders to effectively embed new finance processes into governance

  • Partnering with TA Development leaders and the Portfolio Analytics team to embed fit for purpose operational performance metrics into governance processes and key portfolio deliverables (i.e. monthly development program updates, data deliverables and enrollment report)

  • Collaborating to build program goal and metric management into governance operations

qualifications:

  • BS degree with 6 years' experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting required

  • Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience preferred

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Demonstrated experience building a governance function

  • Experience in drug development, preclinical through clinical development

  • Strong analytical skills, business knowledge and understanding of clinical development drivers.

  • Proven ability to analyze, develop and contribute to development of conceptual plans and lead implementation of process improvements and change initiatives across the organization.

  • Must be adept at working in a fluid environment and foster a strong collaborative spirit internally and externally.

  • Strong personal skills to influence without authority within a highly technical environment, motivate others and manage conflict.

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior and executive leadership.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as demonstrated organizational?aptitude.
