  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with web editing or familiarity with HTML/WordPress not required, but a plus.

  • Optimistic/positive attitude toward work.

  • Experience maintaining and generating reports from databases.

This is a hybrid position based on our campus in Cambridge, MA. Salary Range : $69,404 - $113,558

Note: Starting salaries typically fall in the lower half of the salary range; however, they are ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.

Operations and Finance

  • Manage event planning logistics such as booking rooms, and catering, etc.

  • Support creation and disseminiation of materials for SLATE events, including populating Canvas course sites, creating event flyers, collating data from surveys and other sources, etc.

  • Maintain SLATE internal and external websites by making regular updates and support the team in creating custom web pages/microsites as needed.

  • Support Assistant Director in hiring of student RAs, temporary, less than half time, and independent contractor positions as needed.

  • Process payments, invoices, and corporate card statements.

  • Journal entries and other financial tasks as needed.

  • Supply ordering and maintenance of inventory.

  • Maintain SLATE and Case Program newsletter contact lists and support newsletter creation and dissemination as needed.

  • Update and maintain SLATE database systems.

  • Other general administrative tasks as needed.

    Case Program Collection Management

  • Conduct accessibility remediation of all new cases per University accessibility guidelines and ensure older cases are remediated to new standards on a regular basis.

  • Generate final Word master and PDF files of publish-ready cases including creating and maintaining metadata.

  • Distribute cases to internal and external case distribution partners, including processing of materials in required formats.

  • Manage HKS Case Library, including maintaining accurate records of published materials and ensure Case database is up to date and complete.

  • Analyze metrics and create standard Case Program reports as needed by HKS faculty and SLATE leadership.

  • Negotiate copyright permissions for exhibits from 3rd parties.

  • Assist in the maintenance of HKS Case Program’s e-commerce portal and ensure security and PCI compliance.

  • Oversee day-to-day Case Program customer support, including responding to email queries, conducting backend verification of purchases, and vetting for educator access.

This position will report to Strengthening Learning and Teaching Excellence (SLATE’s) Assistant Director and be responsible for general administrative tasks, providing logistical support for SLATE events, maintaining SLATE’s web presence, and conducting financial administration tasks. In addition, the position will support publishing and collection management for the Case Program, including overseeing day-to-day customer support.
