The Strategic Systems Engineering Test Equipment group at Draper is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Test Equipment Architect with broad technical skills to work within multidisciplinary teams to develop and provide full system life-cycle development and management of complex electrical, mechanical and software-based test equipment.

A successful candidate will be:

  • Highly motivated to support the delivery of state-of-the-art technology solutions that are of strategic importance to the nation

  • Dedicated to developing the in-depth mission and technology domain expertise that enable realization of such solutions for complex systems

  • Capable of planning and executing individual tasks on a multidisciplinary team, as well as leading small teams as necessary.

  • Strong ability to utilize an MBSE approach for Test Equipment Architecture througout the product life-cycle

  • Self-starter with willingness to learn, participate, lead and mentor in an exciting team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • An M.S. degree with 6+ years of relavent professional experience in an engineering discipline (systems, mechanical, electrical or computer engineering) or a B.S. degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge in core technologies (mechanical, electrical and/or software design) as well as practical systems engineering skills required to integrate core technical disciplines

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

  • Experience with Test Equipment Achitecture or development

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to a broad audience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Test Equipment full product life-cycle

  • Experience with DOORS and/or requirements traceability, test plans, test reports

  • Experience with MBSE tools and languages (e.g. MagicDraw, SysML, UML)

  • Experience in the design of integration hardware/software systems

  • Experience with Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system, sensor or component testing

  • Experience in the design of integrated hardware/software systems

  • Experience with software development (C++, python, LabView, java)
