Insight Global Security Project Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Job Description

A large biotechnology company based in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Technical Project Manager specializing in Insider Threat operations, detection, and response. This role involves supporting the development, enhancement, and management of the Insider Threat Program (ITP), with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP), forensics, incident response, cyber threat intelligence (CTI), and automation development. The role also includes leveraging cloud technologies and AI/ML to build advanced detection mechanisms and refine insider threat processes.

Key Responsibilities:

o Project Management:

1. Schedule meetings & send follow up notes

2. Lead projects related to ITP enhancements, including DLP, incident response, CTI, and automation development.

3. Manage and track deliverables, timelines, and milestones using Jira.

4. Coordinate across teams (Security, HR, Legal, IT) for effective insider threat detection and mitigation.

o Build and refine detection mechanisms using DLP and forensics tools.

o Monitor key vectors such as data exfiltration, unauthorized access, and unusual user activity.

o Correlate internal activity with external threat indicators using CTI.

o Enhance detection accuracy and refine alerting mechanisms with threat intelligence feeds.

o Integrate CTI into insider threat workflows and provide trend analysis.

o AI/ML-Driven Pattern Matching

o Technical Writing

1. Develop and update documentation for the Insider Threat Program, including policies, standards, response playbooks, and runbooks.

2. Ensure documentation aligns with organizational and regulatory requirements.

o Automation Development

1. Background in Python

2. Design and implement automation workflows for investigations.

3. Automate tasks such as data correlation, alert triage, and evidence collection.

4. Document and operationalize automation scripts.

Compensation:

$70/hour to $85/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in project management (in the Security space)

 Strong experience in Insider Threat Program management and operations

o Expertise in DLP, forensics, incident response, CTI, and automation development.

 Python Experience

 Proficiency in Jira for project management.

 Experience with AI/ML and cloud technologies or understanding of how to interpret and interact with Chat GBT Pharmaceutical experience null
