  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related passenger transport experience preferred.

  • Must possess strong verbal communication skills, a clear speaking voice and solid customer service skills, including courtesy, flexibility, sensitivity, patience, and humor.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a customer-focused team environment required.

  • Local knowledge of greater Boston, Allston, and Cambridge preferred.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Technology Skills Required: Basic understanding of mobile applications, ability to navigate with a GPS.

Special Requirements: Will be required to wear a uniform provided by employer.

Emergency Status Designation: Critical Operations Personnel

8am to 4:30pmJob Function:Facilities Position Description:

  • Operates shuttle van to meet scheduled and on-demand passenger pick-up requests.

  • Communicates on two-way radio with dispatcher to receive instructions and confirm changes, additions, or deletions from route schedule.Assists passengers with mobility impairments both entering and exiting.

  • Performs daily safety inspection of vehicle and equipment.

  • Completes vehicle condition report that includes requests for maintenance and repair.

  • Utilizes on – demand electronic technology to provide safe ride services at night.

  • Performs related duties as required.

Work Format:On-Site Work Format Details:This position is based primarily on-campus, in Massachusetts. This may include in-person during emergency situations (if applicable).
