Job Summary

We are seeking a Scientist I/II to join the In Vivo Therapeutic Group at CRISPR Therapeutics, an exciting, fast growing, and well-financed company. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team whose aim is to discover the next generation of genetic therapies for Neuromuscular indications. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, attention to detail and a desire to create new medicines for patients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in Neurobiology, Molecular biology, Biochemistry or related discipline

  • Must be willing to be lab based

  • Will work on any & all projects to support Neuromuscular programs.

  • Must have extensive hands-on experience using molecular biology techniques, such as DNA & RNA, PCR (qPCR, ddPCR, etc.)

  • Must be proficient in cell & tissue culture, transfection, protein extraction, and western blots.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Track record of intellectually challenging oneself to enhance scientific capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a results-oriented team, highly organized with significant attention to detail.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • iPSC culture and maintenance.

  • Proficiency in Immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence imaging, experience with in vivo work and animal handling.

  • Hands-on experience in bioinformatics and its application for NGS data analysis.

  • Prior experience with modulating gene expression using siRNA, shRNA, or gene-editing platforms is preferable.
