As part of the Genome Sciences group at the department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics Department in NIBR Cambridge USA, we are a highly dynamic and collaborative environment that interfaces at biology, genetic engineering and genome analysis with pre-clinical development.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Early research and discovery cell and molecular studies for blood and bone marrow related disorders.

  • Flow cytometry analysis of in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo murine and human samples.

  • Assay development for target identification.

  • Therapeutic concept valuation using cellular and animal studies with the ultimate goal of successful project transition into the clinic.

  • Detailed experimental documentation, data analysis and presentation at small and large audience scale.

Position Title:

Research Scientist – Cell and Molecular Biology

Minimum requirements:

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • BS/MS with at least 5 years of technical experience or a recent PhD in Cellular or Molecular Biology or Immunology. Experience in Hematology or Immunology is preferred.

  • Proficiency in molecular cloning, sequence, protein analyses, and real-time PCR and knowledge of related software’s.

  • Proficiency in cell culture, transfection and transduction methods as well as flow cytometry analysis (prior FlowJo usage preferable).

  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently, passion for working in an interdisciplinary, collaborative research environment.

  • Creative problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior animal-handling experience.

  • Experience with in vitro differentiation protocols (ES/iPS or specialized stem cell).

  • Strong Publication record preferred.
