Our client is currently hiring a R&D Procurement Manager to join their team in Boston. As a R&D Procurement Manager you will play a critical role in supporting R&D procurement sourcing projects, providing analytical support, managing projects, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring adherence to company values and objectives. This position requires a proactive individual with advanced negotiation skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of procurement practices within the biopharmaceutical industry. If you have at least 4 years of experience then this is the role for you.

salary: $89.77 - $94.77 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

As a R&D Procurement Manager, job duties include:

  • Facilitate RFQ processes between preferred suppliers, ensuring efficient communication and negotiation.

  • Provide analytical support for RFx processes, including rate card analysis, benchmarking, and negotiation strategies.

  • Conduct spot negotiations and manage quote processes to optimize procurement outcomes.

  • Act as project manager for category projects, maintaining project plans, tracking deliverables, and facilitating meetings.

  • Maintain data on preferred suppliers and assist in category management market analysis.

  • Support category managers with platform issues and Statement of Work (SoW) exceptions.

  • Assist in savings calculations and entries, resolving Cost Package (CP) issues with Ariba Purchase Requests (PRs).

  • Track and manage rebate structures and commitments with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Handle contract support activities including SOWs, change orders, consolidations, cancellations, and payment terms.

Skills:

  • 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on pre-clinical lab consumables and capital equipment purchasing and maintenance preferred within the biopharmaceutical or CRO/CMO industry.

  • MBA preferred along with SM Supply Chain and/or Project Management certifications preferred.

  • Demonstrated advanced negotiation skills and knowledge of global contracting practices.

  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, and influencing skills.
