Zoom Meetings/Webinars, Adobe Creative Suite, Zotero, Google Docs/Sheets, Mailchimp, Salesforce,

and backend webpage management.

The Program/Faculty Assistant will have strong interpersonal communication skills (works and communicates with many people throughout the school), strong writing/editing skills, the ability to work well with people of many different backgrounds, and an eagerness to learn.

This position requires participation in training sessions, as needed (media, IT, human resources,

etc.) in order to improve skills and remain up to date with our administrative policies and

practices. Additional Information:

This position is a fully benefits-eligible term appointment ending one year from date of hire with strong possibility of renewal.

This is a hybrid position based on our campus in Cambridge, MA. Salary Range: $54,340 - $85,675

Note: Starting salaries typically fall in the lower half of the salary range; however, they are ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.

• Financial management: processing corporate card purchases, purchasing card (Pcard)

purchases, invoices, honorariums, and reimbursements. Adding domestic and

international vendors to Harvard’s vendor management system.

• Website: post content to the HEEP website, update Faculty Director’s website with

publications and updated CV, monitor faculty fellow sites for new discussion paper

opportunities, and assist with newsletter content.

• Course Support: providing course support for faculty-led bi-weekly environmental

economics seminar, (communicating with faculty presenters, student support,

technical/media support, necessary classroom supplies, publicity for seminar, etc.),

providing support to the weekly student-led Ph.D. seminar (including securing rooms,

ordering food, and communicating with the student leadership team); and supporting

the faculty director’s teaching and course schedule (including setting up Canvas sites,

providing support to students, TF’s and CA’s, ordering books, and requesting reserve

materials in the library).

• General Administrative work: PDF formatting, printing, and ordering supplies for team.

Printing name tags and tent cards for events, and producing materials for events.

• Database management: Input data to contact databases (Salesforce, Mailchimp,

Outlook, etc.) and publications database (Zotero), including scanning business cards

from Faculty Director’s meetings.

• Scheduling: day to day scheduling of meetings with faculty, students, and outside

resources.

• Supporting Degree Program Chair roles of Faculty Director: working with the Director of

the Ph.D. program and the HBS – HKS Joint Degree Program to schedule student

meetings and events, steering committee meetings, and other events.

• Support for Executive Director and Associate Director: provides general support for the

Executive Director and the Associate Director of HEEP and HPCA.

The Program Coordinator/Faculty Assistant supports the Harvard Environmental Economics Program (HEEP) and the Harvard Project on Climate Agreements (HPCA), based in the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard Kennedy School, as well as Professor Robert Stavins (Faculty Director), as his faculty assistant. This position will report to both the Associate Director of HEEP and HPCA and the Faculty Director.
