The position is focused on the development of novel therapies for neurodegenerative, neuro-inflammatory, and neuromuscular diseases. The successful candidate will interface with scientists across our Neuroscience division and drug modality groups and contribute predictive insights that will drive discovery efforts including elucidation of target biology, development of preclinical models and therapeutic design.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct innovative computational research to harness predictive insights from high-dimensional biological datasets derived using high content, high-throughput cell imaging, molecular and genetic profiling of pre-clinical, clinical and real-world studies.
Drive the development and application of computational modeling to characterize complex cellular models of disease using integrative network and pathway-based approaches to generate novel therapeutic hypotheses and combine mechanistic target biology with patient enrichment/selection strategies.
Develop ML-based representations of functional genomic screening outputs mapped to patient profiling datasets to identify causal drivers of specific pathologic cell states.
Contribute scientific expertise to drive decision making within cross-functional teams, including presentation of key results and research strategies at internal and external forums.
Develop and drive internal and external collaborations with other bioinformaticians, biologists and clinicians to implement and execute computational approaches that impact our development of novel therapeutics.
