As Group Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for envisioning, creating, launching and scaling global products as well as incubation new inclusive learning experiences for all audiences. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, program managers, and engineering managers to bring features and products to market. You will help define the vision, prioritize the roadmap, own the business metrics, as well as oversee the health of the services you own all while keeping the customer at the center. You will bring creativity to solving problems in ways that allow for greater scale and mobility and provide technical leadership for the systems architecture and execute using agile engineering practices. You will bring a passion for quality, a focus on the customer, and a willingness to experiment, all in support of driving successful learner outcomes. You will lead incubation efforts to explore new experiences and opportunities. And you will motivate your team, inspiring them to deliver innovative solutions with a high degree of craftsmanship.
In this role, you will:

Define the operating model for the new incubation team
Work with partner teams to successfully deliver global products in market
Establish engineering processes that ensure high quality craftsmanship, service quality, and predictable delivery of new capabilities
Create the time and space to facilitate learning, experimentation, and incubation
Recruit and build a strong engineering team, and mentor, coach, and grow team members
Be accountable for the quality of features that ship to customers and for the live site when they are in production
Partner closely with other technology teams and feature teams across Microsoft to assemble new experiences
Bring the voice of the customer into the team and daily decisions for making the right trade-offs and ensuring inclusivity and quality of service on behalf of the customer

An entrepreneurial sense of ownership and ability to take initiative and operate autonomously are also key in this role.
3+ years leading multiple Engineering teams
6+ years of experience leading Engineering teams
Passion for quality with strong customer empathy and focus
Past experience bringing new ideas to market, and learning from those experiences
Ability to quickly formulate new virtual teams and lead them to produce new experiences
Deep expertise in software engineering best practices, systems architecture, full stack technologies and service operations at scale
A passion for improving engineering practices and producing high quality software
Track record of delivering innovation and results through technical leadership and collaboration
Exceptional problem solving, technical, and data analysis skills
Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field or equivalent experience/education
Past experience in a high performance start-up or incubation effort within a larger company is highly valued
Expertise with compliance, security, privacy and accessibility standards
Experience building, integrating, or customizing Dynamics 365 applications or other CRM software packages (Salesforce, SAP, etc.)
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 (CE, F&O) , PowerApps, Power Automate, Common Data Service and Power BI
Demonstrated leadership in impacting the performance and innovation of your organization beyond the teams you directly manage
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure stack and surround technologies
