Position Description

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow who will work in the field of economic theory and theoretical behavioral economics to conduct rigorous, high-quality research in these areas. As a member of the department and the theory field, the Post-Doctoral Fellow will work on topics in economic theory and cognitive economics.

  • Conducts in-depth high-quality research under the direction of Professor Andrei Shleifer analyzing topics in cognitive economics.

  • Develops research methods to answer academic questions of interest

  • Develops paper and slide material for disseminating research results to various audiences and stakeholders.

  • Develops and implements efficient coding and data handling processes

  • Meets with and briefs relevant external collaborators on research

  • Authors or co-authors publications

  • May work or oversee junior research fellows and graduate students

*Position will be 1-year from the date of appointment, renewable for a second year.

Basic Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent combination of education and experience in economics or related field at the time of appointment.
