Aston Carter Office Coordinator in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Greeting visitors

Receptionists are the first point of contact for a business and are responsible for welcoming visitors and directing them to the appropriate person or department.

Handling calls

Receptionists answer, screen, and direct phone calls to staff, and may also take messages.

Managing appointments

Receptionists may schedule meetings, reservations, and appointments.

Handling mail

Receptionists may receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and courier deliveries.

Administrative support

Receptionists may perform basic filing and recordkeeping, and assist with other administrative tasks such as transcription, photocopying, and printing.

Security

Receptionists may manage people signing in and give out security passes. They may also monitor security and telecommunications systems.

Providing information

Receptionists may answer questions about department policies, procedures, fees, schedules, events, services, and programs.
