The Bioengineering Division is seeking a motivated laboratory researcher to support the research and development of multiple cutting-edge technologies. At Draper Bioengineering, we work at the interface between engineering and biology, and the successful applicant will join a team working on cell processing for therapeutic applications. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, observant, collaborative, and dedicated, and will be fluent in molecular and cell biology. Experience working in a BSL2 level tissue culture laboratory is required, as well as an understanding of cellular immunology and flow cytometry. Key Responsibilities:
Perform flow cytometric analysis of whole blood and processed cell products, including multiplexed marker analysis
Culture and manipulation of immune cells (e.g. isolation of sub-populations)
Perform standard immunoassays (e.g. ELISA, Luminex)
Setup, maintain, QC, and troubleshoot flow cytometer in coordination with colleagues
Create, document and maintain assay protocols; analyze, document and report experimental data within a Quality system
Support lab organization and maintenance as needed
BA/BS in a biology discipline or biomedical engineering, with 2 years relevant laboratory experience, preferably in an interdisciplinary environment
Hands-on experience with immune cells and molecular biology
Preferable: experience with genetic engineering, flow cytometry and FloJo software, and/or primary cell culture
Laboratory organizational skills, attention to detail, good presentation and communication skills, computer literate (MS Word, Excel) including experience with electronic lab notebook or similar data organization tools
Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, and adapt to changing priorities
