As a mechanical instrumentation engineer in Electromagnetics Group, the candidate will perform design analysis, integration and testing of high precision electro-mechanical components and instruments. A firm knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and the control system electronics is expected, as is mechanical design and FEA experience. Knowledge of optical displacement sensing technologies is also desirable. The candidate must be able to work with multidisciplinary teams and must possess the communication skills required to brief internal and external customers.

Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering, and/or related electro-mechanical/control system discipline is required. Direct experience with novel and emerging technologies that offer significant advances over the current state-of-the art in fabrication, assembly, miniaturization and integration is a plus. The individual must be highly self-motivated and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a necessity.
