MANAGER OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION, Vice President for Research (OVPR), provides strategic and operational HR guidance and support for Research Administration Services (RAS), OVPR headquarters units, and affiliated labs and centers reporting to the OVPR; focuses on implementing and managing HR programs, services, and functions that align with OVPR's mission and goals; serves as a trusted advisor to OVPR administrative units, labs, and centers on a range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, performance management, onboarding, HRIS, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; serves as local HR manager for several OVPR units (e.g., Research Administration Services, Cost Analysis, Research Compliance, Research Development, Research Systems Support) while simultaneously serving as the OVPR HR consultant to several other administrative units and research labs and centers. While embedded in the NE18-9th floor area, this role reports to the Director of HR and Administration.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a minimum of four years of relevant HR experience; interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization; proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills; exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism. PREFERRED: PHR, SPHR, and/or SHRM-SCP certifications; experience in higher education; or MIT experience. Job #24713-10
