Duration: 9 months

Pay: $65.00 - $85.00/HOUR

The Global Internal Communications team is responsible for shaping the internal perceptions of the company, helping employees understand the company’s strategy, organization and products while building employee engagement. This function also helps employees understand and adapt to change. The Global Internal Communications team creates and implements a wide range of strategic internal communication activities to meet these goals.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Serve as main point person to coordinate the global internal communications editorial calendar and manage air traffic control

  • Coordinate key internal stakeholders of Business Units and Business Functions, the Communication Business Partners and Local Operating Companies communications professionals and support greater employee understanding of their strategic initiatives

  • Provide communications support and counsel on global projects and collaborate across functions as a subject matter expert in employee communication methodology and best practices.

  • Develop employee communication plans, deliverables and content such as key messages, internal articles, videos for global projects that are aligned with and support the broader company communication programs

  • Support change communication efforts to increase the understanding of business strategy, priorities and key initiatives

  • Partner with others in the Global Internal Communications team to create editorial content for wider internal communication materials while faithfully applying company’s internal tone of voice and writing style approach to all communications

  • Ensure a high level of editorial standards and review consistency and quality control across communications by applying sharp proofreading skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or a related field, with at least 5 years’ of internal communications or equivalent experience (as a team member and / or leader) with excellent writing, copyediting and proofreading experience

  • Experience in a communications environment in industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare, with a good understanding in the complexities and issues relating to operating in the global pharmaceutical industry

  • Excellent English language skills, English native speaker preferred.

  • Strong project management experience in corporate communications, including oversight of a number of programs / projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and persuade at senior levels internally

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

  • Established and proven stakeholder networking capabilities

  • An exceptionally strong eye for detail, with solid strategic, analytical and planning skills, as well as a creative approach to problem solving

  • A creative thinker with a track record of coming up with new ways to engage internal stakeholders

  • Understanding of social media and how to apply those principles to internal communications

  • Comfortable with change, with an ability and willingness to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to deliver in high pressure situations with short deadlines
