Sanofi- Genzyme Local Privacy Officer in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Main Responsibilities: Expert knowledge of data protection, information security, data privacy policies and procedures, in compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, current State Privacy Laws in the US. Conduct data privacy impact assessments for projects/products within scope (Vaccines, General Medicine, support functions) Provide privacy third party contacting oversight to ensure consistency and alignment with all current and future privacy laws and regulations to minimize future privacy risks to Sanofi. Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to address any data privacy concerns or compliance issues. Provide training and support to all product marketing teams and other relevant departments on data privacy best practices and leading data privacy implementation of new state laws Manage data breaches, including investigation, reporting, and remediation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure documentation and records of data processing activities are maintained accurately for audit purposes. About you Practical knowledge of U.S. State and federal privacy laws/regulations (CCPA, HIPAA) and familiarity with AI regulations. Healthcare contracting experience. Contracting experience Relevant US privacy certifications (CIPP-US mandatory) Strong Relationship-building, collaboration and working across functionally. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-experts. JD or law degree from an accredited law school. Why Choose Us?
