Sanofi Group Legal Coordinator in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Job Summary

This position provides administrative and technical support to the NAGSLT, North America and Global Specialty Legal Team. This role requires a high level of administrative skills and technical competence. Strong oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks of equal/varying priorities are essential. Being a team player is a must, and the successful candidate will also have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to effectively communicate across different levels within the organization.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the Legal Coordinator Shall Include the Following:

  • Provides administrative support related to legal work and legal team operations.

  • Coordinates meetings, maintains calendars, makes travel arrangements, completes expense reports, supports the global travel budgeting process by managing and compiling information from different sites, maintains supplies, etc.

  • Responsible for organization and maintenance of appropriate legal team SharePoint or Teams site that includes documents containing potentially confidential data.

  • Provides clerical support as necessary, including filing, faxing, copying, data entry.

  • Compiles and prepares information for presentations using MS Office software, including but not limited to, correspondence, reports, tables & analyses, presentations.

  • Demonstrated Excel skills such as formatting, creating formulas, working with foreign currencies, data filters, conditional formatting, pivot tables.

  • Responds to various inquiries for information according to general guidelines. Strong written and oral communication skills necessary.

  • Ability to network and communicate with peers across multiple sites globally, diverse functions and to work effectively in a Global organization.

  • Manage team reports and communications containing key information.

  • Prioritizes, executes, and manages multiple tasks, with sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced and demanding environment with minimal direction or supervision.

  • Exercises discretion and judgment in handling of confidential material and information; always maintains a high level of confidentiality.

  • Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations and involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.

  • These contacts also involve planning and preparation of the communications, and require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication.

  • Quality editing and proofreading skills with a fine eye for detail are required.

  • Proven ability to work independently, handle confidential/proprietary information, and effectively handle multiple detail-oriented projects in an environment where priorities are frequently changing is essential.

  • Ongoing maintenance and management of incoming and outgoing correspondence.

  • Completes other duties as requested, which may include project planning, coordination of cross- functional teams, data collection and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability in the application of requisite skills and applies additional skills and knowledge acquired through experience to perform the more complex tasks of the position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years’ administrative experience

  • Proficiency in using computer technology including the Microsoft Office Suite, preferably Office 365(Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and others)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.

  • Experience with SharePoint and/or Teams content administration

  • Experience supporting large department in a pharma or biotech environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication in global environment

  • High ethical standards, tact for high-profile internal and external relations, maintenance of confidentiality.
