Job Description Summary

The Global Security Investigation Leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing all investigative functions related to corporate security incidents, including fraud, theft, misconduct, and other physical security breaches.

This role will report into the CSO and will also direct the implementation and administration of GE Vernova security investigation programs world-wide and drive risk-based, intelligence driven strategies to detect, investigate, correct, and prevent fraudulent and abusive practices against the company.

The leader will also play a key role in partnering with the CSO and other Functional leads to mitigate risks and enhance the overall security posture of the organization

Roles and Responsibilities

Program Deliverables

  • Lead and manage all security investigations within the GE Vernova organization, ensuring thorough, objective, and timely investigative processes.

  • Develop and maintain investigation protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, and organizational standards.

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and preservation of evidence related to security incidents, ensuring proper documentation and chain of custody.

  • Assist in the development and revision of security policies and procedures related to investigations, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and industry standards.

  • Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in corporate security and investigations.

  • Foster a culture of integrity and professionalism within the team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on security awareness, reporting procedures, and best practices for preventing security incidents.

  • Organize and manage workshops and seminars to enhance understanding of GE Vernova security policies and procedures among employees.

Program Deliverables

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, Legal, Compliance, and Cyber, to ensure comprehensive investigations and appropriate responses to security incidents.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for law enforcement and external agencies during investigations, ensuring effective communication and information sharing.

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and trends related to security incidents, providing recommendations for preventative measures and enhancements to security protocols.

  • Analyze investigation outcomes to identify patterns, root causes, and areas for improvement within the organization’s security framework.

  • Prepare detailed investigative reports for senior management, outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans for addressing security incidents.

  • Maintain accurate records of investigations, incidents, and outcomes to support compliance and audit requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or equivalent) are highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate security, investigations, or law enforcement, with a proven track record of successful investigations.

  • Strong knowledge of investigation techniques, legal standards, and compliance requirements related to corporate security.

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and professional development.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to operate effectively at all levels of the Organization.

  • Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly.

  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones.

  • Required extensive leadership traits, business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills.

If contracted in the US:

The base pay range for this position is $151,300 - 250,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
