Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Reporting to the Head of Global Talent Development, this role is responsible for key elements of the Global Talent Management strategy and delivery; ensuring our employees and leaders are equipped with the tools and frameworks they need to be successful in a values-driven culture.

As the Performance Management Lead, your primary responsibility is to serve as the global process owner for performance management for all employees within Takeda. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including HR and business leaders, to ensure a highly effective approach to performance management.

Your focus will be on maintaining excellence in the performance management process while continuously seeking opportunities for evolution and innovation. This includes listening and measurement strategies and integrating innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of performance management practices.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

You will operate as a key part of the COEI Talent Management team that develops and deploys innovative strategies, tools and processes that enable our employees to deliver peak performance; and drive initiatives that enable employees to have a successful and engaging careers at Takeda.

You will lead the strategy, process and continuous improvement of the Performance Management cycle at Takeda, including the year-end process for employees and people leaders, the goal setting cycle and ongoing quality conversations. Supporting these processes includes close collaboration with the HR Community, HR Technology, Compensation and Learning.

This role requires a heavy concentration in change management with an eye on evolving our practices over time and an ability to collaborate effectively with HR partners and stakeholders globally leading to a great people experience and the best global outcomes.

Partnering with the Talent Management Team and HR Partners

Implement and expand our performance management processes including effective goal setting, ongoing quality conversations as well as descriptive assessments.

In partnership with HR Technology, manage the global Workday performance management module

Lead performance management listening & measurement to assess progress against strategy, surface areas for improvement, and connect work across Talent Management holistically.

Leverage data and people insights to drive recommendations and decision making.

Help connect performance practices to relevant Talent Management and DE&I processes and programs.

Help drive adoption and implementation of overall talent management solutions.

Collaborate and build buy-in for new approaches, and recommendations that will evolve over time.

Partner with Learning and HR Communications team to create and deliver relevant and meaningful presentations to broad audiences

Works with the team and HR partners to generate insights, identify opportunities and plan for the future.

Play an active role in building and evolving the cross-company Talent Development Community of Practice.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred

Minimum 8+ years’ experience within HR focused roles with increasing responsibility in Talent Management/LD/OC. HR Business Partner experience a plus

At least 2+ years of experience in managing Performance Management either as an HR practitioner or as a people leader

Preferred Skills/competencies:

Previous experience supporting Workday or other HR systems.

Proven ability and experience in effectively collaborating with and influence senior level HR and business leaders to establish trust and credibility.

Strong analytical skills.

Strong experience working in a complex, global environment.

Some experience in the design and delivery of talent and organizational strategies and initiatives, assessment and development tools and methodologies.

Ability to articulate strategy and gain commitment through a wide range of communication channels.

Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

Acts as a vocal and visible advocate for key initiatives, influencing others and working to build buy-in and support across our HR constituents.

Adjusts plans and priorities in response to changes in strategic direction.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
