As a Communications Co-op/Intern, you will have the opportunity to work across our global internal and external communications teams, gaining a truly 360-degree experience working with some of the industry’s best.

Job Description

As a Communications Co-op/Intern, you will support activities including, but not limited to, research, writing assignments, social media, etc. Major tasks and key accountabilities include:

  • Develop high-quality communication materials for a variety of channels and audiences, both internal and external.

  • Influence our brand storytelling efforts, helping mining for impactful internal stories that can be shared with an external audience.

  • Work with our Financial Communications team to support GE Vernova's financial communications, including earnings calls.

  • Partner with our internal communications team to plan and develop internal campaigns and activities tied to our culture and strategic priorities.

  • Help with content creation and strategy for our social media platforms.

  • Support the development of external media materials, such as press releases.

  • Assist with written content, including executive communications, for internal stakeholders across a global footprint.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in a discipline as listed below.

  • Following majors accepted: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Adverting, Marketing, Mass Communications, or related degree

  • Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).

  • Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

  • Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business

  • Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

Desired Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidate is rising senior with prior internship experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Adverting, Marketing, Mass Communications, or related degree

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Graphic design and/or animation experience or knowledge

  • Interest in working on a collaborative, cross-functional team

  • Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions to problems quickly

  • Well-organized and a self-starter

  • Keen attention to detail

Relocation Assistance:

Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

Housing Allowance:

Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
