    Job Description

FINANCIAL ASSISTANT II, Mechanical Engineering (MechE), to provide financial and office support for general accounting. Will process procurement requisitions and verify credit card purchases on thirty to forty cards; support the reconciliation of over 500 department and faculty accounts on a monthly basis; process accounts receivable and other billing/invoicing, adjustments, and changes; coordinate the mailing and distribution of course assignment letters; coordinate student group budgeting and expense tracking; create and update reports on faculty funding; maintain support staff Roles authorizations; assist with the upkeep of space, including overseeing the maintenance of office equipment and setting up and maintaining common areas; exercise confidentiality of classified information based on office protocols; perform other administrative, financial, and clerical duties as necessary, including maintain paper files, distributing mail, and photocopying.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma; at least three years of experience in accounting or finance; full working knowledge of general office practices and procedures; excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; experience with paying invoices, ordering supplies, account reconciliations, and expense reimbursements; ability to work effectively with people at all levels, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently and as part of a team, prioritize and problem solve, and maintain confidentiality; and advanced-level computer software skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
