Shape the future of the internet
You will be supporting customer success teams in defining Cloud/Linode solutions as a technology specialist. You will guide customers through the strategic and technical aspects of their Cloud transformation journey, with emphasis on implementation. Driving for valuable customer workload/application outcomes with Akamai Cloud Compute products and services, you will provide the thought-leadership in cloud computing externally and internally.
As an Enterprise Cloud Consultant, you will be responsible for:
Supporting cloud compute opportunities as a technology specialist and driving long term customer success through continuous consumption of Linode, as extension of the integrated account teams, through direct customer engagement
Decomposing application components and determining how to leverage various technologies found with modern cloud services
Leading solution and product innovation initiatives. Evangelizing local use cases/technology trends and influencing product roadmap with global product managers
Facilitating customers builds of service-oriented architecture, web services, and Application Programming Interfaces
Taking disparate business problems and delivering the best technology solutions for large scale applications
Partnering with enablement groups in Akamai Cloud Compute, Security and Delivery technology stacks to solve enterprise workload challenges
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent
Demonstrate experience with analyzing and reviewing IT investments and services to ensure they align with the business needs and strategy
Have relevant experience working in a customer facing technical role with a public cloud/cloud software company
Show experience with large-scale, cloud-based applications, including cloud architecture, implementation lead, and strategy architecting complex IaaS solutions for customers
Possess professional or associate architect level certification from AWS,GCP, or Azure
Demonstrate in-depth hands-on skills in two or more of these domains: Cloud computing(IaaS), containers, container orchestration (Kubernetes), auto-scaling, advanced deployment models, CI/CD with GitOps, and pipeline customization. Cloud computing domain expertise is a must
Have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex technical content to a wide range of audiences

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $120,917 - $193,746/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
