Ability to translate financial information into presentations and written narratives.
Ability to develop, execute, and communicate DEI principles, practices, models, and ability to provide analysis, performance measures, and metrics.
Additional Information:This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you will be required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus 3 days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.

Oversee all administrative and financial needs including budgeting, space planning, IT, human resources, and recruiting.
In collaboration with the CDEIO, establish and manage key relationships within HBS and across the University.
Assess and support the development of a growing portfolio of services, initiatives, programs, and events aimed at increasing inclusive mindsets and behaviors across the HBS community.
Support the creation of processes to enhance tracking and reporting on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders.
In collaboration with ODEI colleagues, establish processes to create and maintain a calendar of DEI activities.
Develop and activate ODEI crisis response management for local, national, and global crises that may have an impact on community members.
Represent the CDEIO as assigned on HBS or Harvard task forces, committees, working groups, programs, or events.
In partnership with the CDEIO, work to create and maintain a healthy, inclusive, and positive work culture.
Projects and Initiatives Management
In collaboration with CDEIO and Senior Advisor for Programs and Initiatives, review administrative needs for new projects and initiatives and manage effective project flow.
Oversee a portfolio of unique, sensitive, confidential, and high-profile projects that result in well-developed and practical solutions across a wide-range of complex issues affecting HBS.
o As assigned, assist with ODEI initiatives through content development and/or program/event management.
Assess and implement a project management tool that allows for project planning, benchmarking, and tracking of deliverables to present measurements for success.
In collaboration with ODEI colleagues, develop and support processes to ensure successful delivery of DEI initiatives and programs from initial planning stages through implementation and assessment.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Possess an understanding of the variety and complexity of issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in learning, workplace, and social environments.
Stay abreast of emerging legal, cultural, and social developments and trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion and seek to understand both positive and negative impacts for HBS.
Partner with Finance and the Harvard Office of Economic Inclusion to support the development of HBS-wide diversity goals for suppliers and track progress toward the established goals.
Participate in the delivery of diversity, equity, and inclusion learning, development, and dialogue initiatives aimed to increase knowledge and understanding of key concepts related to inclusion.
Engage in professional development, conference, and networking activities available through a variety of professional and educational organizations.
Participate in and support community engagement offerings and opportunities.

The Director will oversee project management and the coordination of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the Office’s eight areas of work: Strategy, Learning and Development, Recruitment and Retention, Community Engagement, Communication and Research, Data and Reporting. The position will develop and implement organizational systems and infrastructure to ensure an efficient, comprehensive, coordinated, and well-aligned strategic approach.
