Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, collaborative, and innovative Human Resources professional to join CRISPR Therapeutics and drive and deliver impactful Human Resources programs in support of our high-growth and high-performing company and culture. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, the Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be a valued thought partner to leadership in the development and implementation of people strategies that enable us to attract, develop and retain top talent. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with leaders, managers and employees to ensure business needs are reflected in the effective delivery of HR programs, processes, tools and services.

The Director, HRBP will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team and other subject matter experts to align practices and initiatives with CRISPR’s strategic and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and consults on all people-related activities within Technical Operations client group and other client groups as needed

  • Provides strategic counsel to key functions and management in the areas of organizational effectiveness and development, talent management and coaching

  • Provides support to leadership on critical business needs by creating solutions in the areas of organizational models, talent and career development, talent acquisition and compensation programs

  • Supports, motivates and promotes employee development by building a positive and energized team environment

  • Acts as an internal consultant to managers and employees by establishing trust and credibility as a valuable sounding board, providing coaching and advice

  • Proactively provides guidance and advice to teams on people management; determines root causes to issues and recommends appropriate plans to optimize talent, structure and culture

  • Serves as a coach to develop skills and competencies in managers and leaders across the organization

  • Acts as a performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in people management and engagement

  • Actively participates in the selection of talent to help address capability gaps as the business grows

  • Coaches business leaders on people-related matters

  • Handles all straightforward and complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and urgency

  • Contributes actively to business discussions and offers ideas and insights for consideration on people and organization matters broadly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years progressive Human Resources experience in organizational development, talent management and employee and leadership development

  • Prior experience working in the technology, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred

  • Experience leading teams in enterprise-wide people and organizational initiatives in a fast growth environment is required, including skill in partnering with other members of the HR team

  • Ability to form strong partnerships and foster trust with employees at all professional levels

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
