The Technical Content Development Team within WWL is looking for a skilled and passionate technical professional with deep knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies and services to design, create and maintain a curriculum that provides a world-class learning. The experienced and versatile technologist we seek must come complete with real-world experience in technical selling, consulting, designing, planning, developing, or implementing Cloud solutions in customer environments. This candidate also needs to exhibit a visible passion for training customers, and ideally, has experience as a content developer (training or documentation), technical writer/trainer, or as a technical presenter/speaker.
As part of WWL’s Content Development Team, our lab-focused technical Content Developer coordinates with the various Microsoft Engineering and Marketing Teams and other business and technical groups within Microsoft to ensure all our certification and learning assets are created with a connected learning path in mind that benefits our customers. Strong communication and cross-group collaboration skills are necessary as you will be expected to stay plugged into all the relevant cloud-related product teams to keep abreast of rapid technology and industry changes that will drive the digital transformation of the industry. You’ll help design, test, and build the best hands-on experiences for our students across a variety of platforms. Proven project management skills are essential to this role to keep projects on-track and on-budget during the content development life cycle. We want you to be our “authoritative source” for Azure hands-on experiences. You will need to think creatively because our customers are counting on us to provide them with the right certification and learning at the right time.
Primary roles and responsibilities of this position:
Design, test, and build the highest quality hands-on labs and exercises for learners centered around the suite of Microsoft Cloud Technologies and Services that support all our relevant technical audiences.
Work with partners, both internal to Microsoft and external, to understand learner needs, system and delivery requirements, and align the hands-on experience with all technical and product lifecycles.
Hands-on technical experience with Azure along with a broad understanding of Microsoft product and service capabilities.
2+ years of experience developing, deploying, and testing apps or Azure IT infrastructure.
Hands-on experience writing deployment and end-state validation scripts, and the ability to apply those skills across varied technologies, we create learning solutions across the entire Azure services portfolio.
2+ years of experience as a practicing Technical Specialist, Technical Consultant, Application Developer, App Maker, Trainer, or other technical role.
Strong project management, communication, and cross-group collaboration capabilities.
Experience developing innovative learning modalities such as team-based challenges.
Technical training, and/or instructional design knowledge and Project Management experience highly valued.
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $106,500 and $159,700.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
