Consultant, Innovation Consulting (Cambridge, MA)

Philips’ Innovation Consulting is part of Innovation and Strategy and provides business consulting across the organization to support the execution of the strategic vision and innovation roadmaps of our businesses. Your role:

  • Lead or support business consulting projects and provide subject matter expertise to accelerate innovation through value proposition creation, business case development, and portfolio management.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their strategic priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Conduct in-depth assessments and analyses of market trends, competitive landscapes, business performance and emerging technologies within the MedTech field to identify areas for improvement and innovation.

  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing actionable recommendations and expert guidance on accelerating innovation and driving innovation outcomes with industry best practices.

  • Lead implementation of recommended solutions, including process improvements and organizational changes aimed at enhancing innovation effectiveness and outcomes.

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in healthcare and MedTech fields.

  • Responsible for project management activities including developing project plans, driving schedule and time management of activities, managing budgets, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and delivering quality results on time and budget.

  • Lead consulting organization internal processes and team activities.

  • Support business development and acquisition activities by preparing business development presentations and quotations in collaboration with senior consultants, participating in marketing initiatives to promote Philips' innovation consulting services, sharing relevant information of existing customers within the team to facilitate lead generation and acquisition and establishing and maintaining operational networks with customers.

  • Apply and maintain Innovation Consulting capability expertise by actively participating in internal capability development projects to enhance team performance.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have acquired 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5+ years of experience working in consulting in healthcare, MedTech, innovation or related field (required).

  • Your skills include excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills and you have strong knowledge and passion for innovation and healthcare along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts at all levels of the organization.

  • You’ve earned a Master’s degree in technical, science, business, healthcare or a related discipline or have equivalent experience.

  • You have a proven track record of successfully leading/supporting consulting projects from inception to completion (experience working on global teams preferred) with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • You should have experience in or strong desire to support or lead business development efforts.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
