East Cambridge Savings Banks Lending Division is actively recruiting for a Community Development Mortgage Officer Function: Under the general direction of the Secondary Market Lending Sales Manager, identifies clients and originates Mortgage Applications primarily in Low to Moderate Income (LMI) census tracts as identified by federal census data in accordance with CRA goals and established Bank policies, procedures, and strategic goals. We are looking for candidates with: Bi-lingual in at least one of the following languages required: Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese. High School diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years of related mortgage industry experience, with an emphasis on working with borrowers for whom English is not their primary language. Experience working with non-profits that provide First Time Home Buyer Education. Working knowledge of loan origination software, and previous success in a customer service-oriented role. Demonstrated ability to meet established sales goals and objectives. Highly organized, goal-oriented, self-starter with a commitment to the highest levels of service excellence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to register as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required under the S.A.F.E. Act. A resident of one of the focus geographies is a plus.
