Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Coordinate the Editas PM and Calibration program.
Organize and help maintain the structure of the lab, schedule refrigerator/freezer cleanings, pipette calibrations, maintain organization of the tissue culture suites, provide support on gas tanks, biohazard and chemical waste.
Work with EH&S consultants to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Oversee space management and optimization in the lab. Manage the critical equipment alarm system and schedule.
Ensure that all laboratory activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal laws and regulations and company policies.
Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the laboratory operations. Establish routine standard operating procedures and protocols.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:
Proven ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team.
Motivated self-starter with strong communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Education & Relevant Work Experience:
3+ years’ experience in a regulated lab setting that includes biologics, either working as a scientist or in operations.
Experience managing a laboratory preferred.
Excellent communication skills with employees and vendors.
