Biogen Biostatistician, Preclinical Biomarker in Cambridge, Massachusetts

About This Role The Biostatistician is responsible for providing statistical support in preclinical and biomarker areas as assigned. He/She act as statistical expert, provides statistical input in the design of preclinical and biomarker studies, performs statistical analyses, interprets statistical results, and co-authors study reports. He/she contributes to internal decision making, publications of the preclinical and biomarker data, and integrated summaries for presentations. Keeps up to date on current methodology research and conducts methodology research driven by project needs. We are open to recent Ph.D gratuate up to Senior Principal level What You'll Do * Provides statistical expertise to preclinical studies, including in vitro and in vivo studies. The activities include but not limited to study design, analysis framework development, endpoint development and statistical data analysis and interpretation. * Provides statistical support in the development of analytical process and procedures for data from novel platforms, including but not limited to RNAseq and scRNAseq platforms, and proteomics platforms. * Provides statistical expertise in biomarker studies. Collaborates with the Biomarker Group to formulate biomarker study framework, provides statistical expertise in study design and data QC. Conducts analysis to help investigate various roles a biomarker may play in clinical development. Supports biomarker assay development for CMP. * Explores alternative analysis methodology and data presentation techniques. Performs modelling and simulations to identify solutions for complex statistical issues. * Supports the development and implementation of ADS standards. Participates in process improvement initiatives. Required Skills * PhD in Statistics/biostatistics or equivalent with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experiences or Master degree in Statistics/biostatistics or equivalent with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experiences * Thorough understanding of statistical principles and experimental design and statistical analysis methodology with the ability to practice and implement them. * Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. * Working knowledge of medical/biological terminology * Proficient in statistical programming languages and software, including R, and computing tools for modelling and simulations * Attention to detail * General project management skills * Effective oral and written communication skills * Good collaborative skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team Why Biogen?
