About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the Strategy and Operations Team within the growing Global Immunology Franchise. The future incumbent will play a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring the successful execution of franchise goals.

The role involves working in close partnership with cross-functional Global Brand Team(s) (GBT). He/she will be a strategic thought partner to the Global Brand Leads / TA Heads for core brand(s) in Global Immunology Franchise to drive annual cycles of SP, Brand Planning and budget processes in close collaboration with relevant functions. This role will define and implement Global-Local governance & rhythm (G&R) for global functions and with major markets.

Additionally, he/she will monitor and synthesize key business analytics and insights to identify business opportunities and challenges as we collectively work to realize our ambitions of becoming an immunology powerhouse. In addition to TA/brand aligned assignments, this role will lead Franchise-level projects to ensure consistency across the Immunology Franchise, scale up best practices, or pilot innovative solutions based on new business trends and/or environmental changes.

This position will have high visibility within the Global Immunology Franchise and will interact with a wide range of stakeholders both at Global and affiliate levels. Collaborative matrix leadership to effectively lead without authority and influence decision-making in a large and complex matrix organization is critical to the success of this role. Additionally, the ability to understand, simplify, and communicate complex organizational issues and develop fit-for-purpose solutions is also essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of franchise priorities, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the franchise and in the process, help identify focus areas for best practices sharing, agile problem solving, and dynamic resource allocation.

  • Orchestrate annual cycles processes (SP, Budget cycles) in partnership with Franchise Leadership, Finance, GTMC Analytics and Insights, and major markets to ensure appropriate resource allocation in line with brand/TA strategy and ambition, maximize synergy, and avoid duplication

  • Lead Franchise-wide Brand Plan Process and Approach: collaborate with GBTs and core-markets to define and execute the Brand strategy and translate franchise priorities into brand plan process and outcomes

  • Support the development of business cases for new products or market expansions

  • Implement, evaluate and continuously improve Franchise governance and rhythm; ensuring franchise processes align with overall business governance and contribute to operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with commercial, medical, and R&D teams to align strategies and tactics

  • Liaise with M&S organization, GTMC Analytics and Insights, Finance and to manage demand forecasts and prepare for regular alignment touchpoints

  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness as necessary

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with 2+ years in strategy and operations roles

  • Familiarity with relevant market dynamics in the pharmaceutical sector is essential

  • Must be able to relate well to all levels of the organization, demonstrate interpersonal awareness to effectively build and sustain strong partnership with trust and credibility and will have a demonstrated track record of effective influencing cross-functional global and local teams without formal authority to deliver aligned agreed timelines

  • Experience within the commercial organization, e.g. brand marketing, sales, commercial operations experience preferred

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Good intracompany network and solid understanding of local and regional markets is desired
