As a member of Pega’s Legal team, you will work alongside a group of highly talented professionals and top lawyers from across the globe handling all aspects of the legal, regulatory, employment, privacy, and compliance matters of the Pegasystems group of companies.

As Associate Counsel, you will be a key member of Pega’s global legal team supporting the company as a generalist across a range of matters, including compliance, dispute resolution and litigation, employment and benefits, strategic M&A and other transactions, corporate governance, SEC filings and partnering with team members and stakeholders across the Company on other legal work as needed.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Work as part of a collaborative team to provide thoughtful, strategic advice and support to Pega across a range of practice areas.

  • Partner with outside counsel and stakeholders throughout the company, building deep and trusting relationships.

  • Assist with compliance, litigation and disputes, employment matters, M&A and other transactional work, corporate governance and SEC and other public company work, leveraging existing expertise and experience while learning and growing your practice in new areas

What You've Accomplished:

  • Juris Doctorate required, admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, preferably Massachusetts

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in a law firm and/or in-house setting

  • Experience representing or working in software or technology companies preferred

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: compliance; dispute resolution and litigation; employment & benefits; mergers and acquisitions, investments, and other transactions work; SEC and other public company work; export compliance; general corporate legal advice; corporate governance and Board support.

  • Proactive self-starter with a demonstrated ability to perform, succeed and multi-task, balancing varying deadlines

  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and business stakeholders, including senior leaders

  • Desire to take on special projects and additional responsibilities, as needed

  • Continuous learning and professional development mindset
