Experience and skills in Python, web development, and Linux/Unix command line and research environments strongly preferred
Basic familiarity with R, in addition to other scripting environments appropriate for scientific data management, and scientific software management (particularly Galaxy and related web content management applications) strongly preferred
Experience with JQuery and data display and data visualization libraries such as Datatables, D3.js and plotly.js preferred
Experience meeting deadlines and working cooperatively in a collaborative team preferred

The Huttenhower Lab in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu), in partnership with the Broad Institute, is seeking a Software Developer to support the group's research software portfolio. This includes analysis methods implemented in R and Python generally, as well as the Microbiome Initiative Bioinformatics Center (MIBC) for analyses of the human microbiome in type 1 diabetes specifically for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term end date of 12/31/2020, with the possibility for extension.
