    Job Description

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, CAMERA CULTURE, Media Lab (part-time, 20 hrs/wk.), to join the Camera Culture (https://www.media.mit.edu/groups/camera-culture/overview/) research group. Will manage the group’s day-to-day spending according to Media Lab Finance and MIT’s procedures and compliance policy; schedule and coordinate principal investigator and group calendars, including monitoring deadlines and important events; coordinate travel logistics and reservations, create detailed itineraries, and process trip reports, including reimbursements; and maintain group’s team and project web pages to ensure they are up-to-date. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years’ administrative assistant or related experience; excellent organizational, customer service, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail; adeptness at using communication tools such as Slack, and teleconference equipment/software; excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace; and comfort learning new software. Must be able to successfully work and collaborate with a creative and diverse group of people, including researchers, students, corporate sponsors, and administrators; manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and exercise discretion, diplomacy, and tact; PREFERRED: associate’s or bachelor's degree and experience with MIT business apps, e.g., Microsoft Office, SAPgui, Concur, Google Workspace, Dropbox.
