Description

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Boston Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties, including processing vendor invoices, posting cash receipts, and assisting with budget preparations. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

This is a hybrid position; Monday- Friday 9am-5pm (with 3 days available on a remote setting)

Responsibilities:

• Process and post cash receipts in a timely and accurate manner.

• Handle vendor invoices, ensuring they are correctly filed and paid.

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget.

• Conduct monthly invoice processing to maintain up-to-date records.

• Engage in financial reporting, providing accurate and comprehensive financial information.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to streamline accounting functions.

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions for efficiency and accuracy.

• Familiarize with and use Deltek software for various accounting tasks.

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to accounting matters.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated experience in handling Accounting Functions

• Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Billing Functions

• Familiarity with Deltek software

• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus

• Proven experience in a similar role within the financial sector.
