Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in the non-profit industry based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Your role will focus on ensuring the financial health of the organization through accurate accounting submissions, managing a budget sourced from government grants and private funding, and complying with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Align and administer financial resources towards organizational goals

• Manage and oversee the annual budget

• Ensure effective financial management within the organization

• Process and maintain accurate accounting records

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations

• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for financial transactions

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, as well as invoice processing

• Perform account reconciliation tasks diligently

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and billing processes

• Collaborate with a dynamic finance team to achieve organizational goals. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role in the non-profit sector

• Proficiency in account reconciliation processes and procedures

• Experience in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing procedures and data entry tasks

• Skills in invoice processing and maintaining accurate financial records

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for handling and analyzing data

• Experience in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
