Town of Burlington Substitute Part Time Department Clerk in Burlington, Massachusetts
Primary duties include answering telephone, answering questions pertaining to Council On Aging/Jeanne A Garrett Senior Center and resources and activities available for seniors. Other duties include copying, filing, computer data entry and word processing. Must possess initiative and willingness to participate in a team environment. Patience and ability to adapt communication style to a diverse population are essential. Strong computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Previous experience in customer service and working with the senior population helpful, but not necessary. This is an on-call per diem position, shifts available are Monday. Tuesday and Thursday 8:00-4:00, Wednesday 8:30-12noon or 12noon-7:00 and Friday 8:30-1:00. Starting hourly rate is \$15.89. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work either shift. Applications received by 12:00pm January 13, 2023 will receive first consideration. Position will remain open until filled.
