The Opportunity

This position may involve a wide variety of diverse opportunities including:

• Developing detailed performance test protocols and analyze actual plant performance against these protocols. Evaluate and provide risk analysis for engineer-procure-construct (EPC) contract performance guarantees.

• Evaluatingthe terms of the EPC contract as it impacts PVsyst modeling, performance engineering/testing activities and deliverables.

• UtilizingPVsyst to produce reports suitable for commercial and contractual use.

• Supporting the instrumentation design and commissioning of solar projects with an emphasis on the instrumentation requirements and data collection needs for performance testing.

• Reviewing civil and electrical system drawings and design layouts to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project energy models.

• Supporting data collection methods and procedures to meet contractual requirements for performance testing.

• Assisting with solar PV design optimization for cost reduction and performance improvement.

• Managingjunior staff including supervision, career development, mentoring, recognition, and any corrective actions required.

• Collaboratingclosely with various departments throughout the project cycle – Project Proposal, Development, Origination, Design, Procurement, Engineering, Construction and Operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solar PV performance experience along with battery and energy storage experience, particularly in integrated performance assessment and optimization of energy storage systems with solar PV.

• Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines.

• Must be able to function well as a technical trainer.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel including VBA is preferred.

• Programming skills including developing Visual Basic macros and/or Python tools is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
