Registered Nurse SICU 36 Hours Day/Night Rotation

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is now offering up to a $5,000 in signing bonuses for our Critical Care RN positions. The RN must be licensed with at least one (1) year of RN experience to be eligible for the signing bonus.

Important Details:

• Signing Bonuses are paid out in three payments. You will receive your first payment (one third of the total amount) upon completion of the first 30 days of employment. You will receive the second payment upon completion of six (6) months and the third payment (final of the total amount) owe upon completion of one year following your start date. The bonus payments will be paid on the next regular pay day following the date on which you become eligible for the bonus. All payments are subject to applicable taxes.

• Full time status at LHMC is considered for the schedules greater than or equal to 30 hours per week; part-time is 20-29 hours per week. Roles less than Full-Time will be prorated. Please note, per diem employees are not eligible for the signing bonus.

To be eligible:

• Current and former BILH candidates - restrictions apply. Employees within the BILH system are not eligible for the bonus or if you have been employed by a BILH entity within the last 12-months.

• If you leave Lahey Hospital & Medical Center before your first anniversary you will pay back the signing bonus.

• Please note, signing bonuses are subject to change based on the organizations hiring needs and will be determined by Talent Acquisition on an ongoing basis. BILH/LHMC Talent Acquisition reserves the right to change signing bonus eligible jobs and amounts at any time.

Job Description:

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed high acuity unit with clinical specialties in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. As a level one trauma center, we work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to provide high quality, patient centered care. In addition, this unit sees a wide variety of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies. Our nurses are experts in caring for these patient populations and are continuously enhancing their knowledge to ensure we are up to date with the latest practices and technologies . We, as members of this team, are committed to the delivery of safe, high-quality care to our patients and their families.

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit offers a professional pathway for those nurses looking to build their resume and progress in their career.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center utilizes EPIC for computerized charting and medication administration. Computerized self-scheduling is available along with every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications

  • BSN preferred

  • BLS required ACLS certification preferred

  • At least 1 year of previous of Nursing experience in acute care or sub-acute setting required

  • Critical Care and Telemetry experience preferred

  • Massachusetts registered Nurse license required.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

  • Lifting 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs

36 Hours Day/Night Rotation with an every 3rd weekend commitment and holiday rotation.

Hours: 7am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am
