Department Description

The Oracle hardware development team in Burlington is responsible for the architecture, design, validation, and release of industry leading enterprise class, X86 and ARM based server products used in Oracle Engineered Systems and Cloud infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

This position is for an experienced hardware engineer with a background in power engineering to provide engineering support for Oracle rack power infrastructure.

Signal and power integrity circuit simulations and timing analysis, the development of lab test hardware and automating test procedures. Other responsibilities include developing validation testing strategies and procedures, review and analysis of supplier test data submitted as part of product release. Support of deployed product is also an important responsibility, this includes troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex problems often without the failing hardware. This candidate will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

· Design experience of AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters

· Working understanding of regulatory standards as applied to the release of power products.

· Proficient in the use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, differential probes, current probes, electronic AC source and DC loads, Arduino’s and Aardvark’s.

· Demonstrated ability to debug complex problems.

· Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability to multi task.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a group or as an individual contributor.

Beneficial skills:

· Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

· Experience with Python or similar object-oriented programming language.

· Design and / or test experience with Intel and AMD CPU chip set architecture.

Education

BSEE / BSCS, MS preferred.

US: Hiring Range: from $97,400 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
