Job Description:

The Emergency Services Coordinator serves as the principal Emergency Department liaison with regional EMS providers, ED staff, and the community. The Coordinator represents Lahey Clinic on local, regional, and statewide task forces and committees dealing with matters related to emergency services, disaster preparedness, and HAZMAT management. The coordinator provides administrative support for overall disaster preparedness throughout the Lahey Clinic system and is responsible for medical and clinical oversight for all Advanced Life Support ( ALS) services as required by regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently certified as a paramedic in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Knowledge of nursing practice and theory typically attained by achieving a BS degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.

  • Individual must have a minimum of four years of 911 experience within an active emergency response system, demonstrated effectiveness as an EMS instructor with background in Massachusetts Statewide-Pre- Hospital Protocols.

  • The successful candidate is a highly motivated, results oriented, self -disciplined individual, who is capable of managing responsibilities with a minimum of supervision.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills a must.

  • Demonstrated professional demeanor and ability to establish positive rapport in relation to interactions between EMS providers and ED personnel; ability to engage other parties as appropriate.

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to establish and communicate achievable goals, measure results, and evaluate effectiveness of operations.

  • A working knowledge of computer workstation and business software required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certified as a paramedic in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
