Floating Security Officer

Securitas Security Services is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Floating Security Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential security coverage across multiple client sites, ensuring the safety and protection of people and property. As a Floating Security Officer, you will be adaptable, responsive, and capable of addressing a variety of security challenges.

This position requires officers to travel to all sites within the branch to provide professional security solutions to clients as our recruitment team works to fill open role. You may also work on temporary details, special events and more.

Officers know their schedule one week in advance but may be called on with short notice or in the event of an emergency. We are looking for people who have open and flexible availability to work 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Coverage: Patrol various locations as assigned, responding to shifts in site needs and ensuring all security protocols are followed.

  • Surveillance: Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular inspections to detect and prevent any security breaches.

  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and contacting emergency services as needed.

  • Reporting: Document daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences in clear, concise reports.

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, employees, and visitors, fostering a welcoming environment while maintaining security protocols.

  • Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, ensuring only authorized personnel access secure areas.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with site management and law enforcement agencies as needed to ensure a cohesive security strategy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in criminal justice or related field is a plus.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
