Job Description:

Full-Time/40 Hours Nights

Position Summary:

Inventories, monitors usage, cleans, inspects, tests and delivers patient care medical equipment stocked in the Central Processing and Distribution department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Monitors all requests for equipment and maintains proper inventory of such equipment on a daily basis.

  • Cleans, inspects and tests all CPD medical equipment picked up during assigned shift.

  • Picks up and delivers clinic instrumentation.

  • Completes two hospital wide equipment rounds on a daily basis within forty-five minutes per round.

  • Notifies bio-medical engineering of all equipment malfunctions and repairs within the same day of occurrence or next shift.

  • Keeps equipment work room neat and clean at all times.

  • Performs the tasks of a Distribution Technician as needed or directed.

  • Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.

  • Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education.

  • Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Not required

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Broad knowledge of hospital equipment and aseptic technique
